Death of John Z. Jenkins. It is with no ordinary sorrow that we announce to our readers the death of Mr. John Z. Jenkins, of this city, who died on Tuesday morning last, of pneumonia, after a short illness. The deceased was a business partner in the mercantile firm of A. H. Powell & Co. - was a good citizen - a worthy and respected business man - a kind father and husband. His death is a sad bereavement to his family and his many friends, and a loss to the community to which he lived.
