PEORIA
- Doris J. Beschorner, 75, of Peoria, formerly of Washburn, died
Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Proctor Hospital in
Peoria.
Doris was born Jan. 4, 1938, in McNabb, Ill., to Alden and
Lorraine (Daily) Haun. She married Richard Beschorner on June
29, 1956, at Henry United Methodist Church in Henry, Ill. He
survives in Peoria.
Also surviving are three sons, Richard L. (Janice) Beschorner
Jr. of Minonk, Jerry A. (Barb) Beschorner of Henry and Craig A.
(Kasey) Beschorner of Algonquin, Ill.; one daughter, Sandra K.
(Darrell) DeSutter of East Peoria; 14 grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister,
Margaret Zdrowski of Naples, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lloyd
Haun.
Doris graduated from Henry High School.
She was a former member of Washburn United Methodist Church,
where she was an active member, serving as organist and singing
in the choir. She was most recently a member of University
United Methodist Church in Peoria.
Doris was proud to be a beauty consultant for Mary Kay cosmetics
for over 34 years.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m at
Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in Washburn. Funeral services
will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Washburn United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Lindsay D. Churchman will officiate. Cremation rites
will be accorded following the services. Inurnment will be at a
later date at Linn-Mount Vernon Cemetery in Washburn.
Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation, the Juvenile
Diabetes Foundation or the Heart & Lung Association.
